GB Tyres announced its appointment as the official UK distributor of Kenda passenger car, SUV, 4×4 and van tyres in April 2023. The agreement followed discussions earlier that year and formed part of our plans to strengthen the choice available to UK tyre retailers.
A broader passenger and van tyre portfolio
The appointment covered a wide range of applications, from everyday touring and high-performance passenger tyres to all-terrain and mud-terrain products. Winter, all-season and track-day tyres also featured in the range described at the launch.
For retailers, the partnership brought together Kenda’s product development and GB Tyres’ wholesale distribution service. Kenda’s European Technical Centre, established in 2016, was an important part of the brand’s investment in products for European drivers.
Building the Kenda partnership
At the time of the announcement, GB Tyres had received its first Kenda containers and planned to develop the UK range and dealer support alongside Kenda Europe. Both businesses described the agreement as the beginning of a long-term partnership.
